Lake Wentworth
Lake Wentworth is 3,000 acres. Much of Lake Wentworth is lined with cottages along it's shoreline and still has that old time feel with about 75% of the shoreline still wooded. There is a state park located just off of Route 109 where you can have a family gathering and hang out. Since it is a state park, there is an admission fee. Albee beach which is closer to the center of Wolfeboro is a public, free beach is a popular place on those hot summer days. Lake Wentworth is my favorite Lake in the Lakes region due to it's crystal clear water.
You have to know how to navigate this lake by boat since there are some tricky areas with rock croppings and some islands. Wentworth is known for it's smallmouth bass fishing as well. You might also be interested in Great East Lake homes or Crescent Lake homes.
